Farm land with soil ideal for an almond farm

ALMONDS

Almond Farm

The land is well suited for use as an almond farm, with approximately 950ha (of the currently cleared 987ha) being ideally suited.

The almond farm land is characterised by sandy rises interspersed with swales and depressions, with a 30m difference in height between the highest and lowest areas. The lightest textured soils are found on the upper slopes and crests, with textures of sandy loam overlying sandy clay loam. The interdune and lower slope soils have surface textures varying from sandy loam to sandy clay, while the subsoils vary in texture from sandy clay loam to medium clay.
